Rakshabandhan is a Hindu and Jain festival celebrated annually on the full moon day of the month of Shravan. It is also known as Shravani (Savani) or Saluno, as it is celebrated in Shravan (Sawan). [1] Rakhi or Rakshasutra has the most importance in Rakshabandhan. Rakhi can range from inexpensive items like raw yarn to colorful arts, silk yarn, and expensive items like gold or silver. Rakshabandhan is the famous festival of siblings relationship, Raksha means protection and Bandhan means bound. On the day of Rakshabandhan, the sisters pray to God for the progress of their brothers. Rakhi is usually tied to sisters but brothers, relatives (such as father to daughter) are also tied by Brahmins, Gurus and younger girls in the family. Sometimes a rakhi is also tied to a leader or a prominent person in public. On the day of Rakshabandhan, many gifts are sold in the market, people are crowded in the market from morning to evening to buy gifts and new clothes. The guests keep coming to the house. On the day of Rakshabandhan, brothers give some gifts to their sister in exchange for Rakhi. Rakshabandhan is a festival that makes the love of siblings stronger, on this day all the families unite and share their love by giving rakhi, gifts and sweets.





Now the tradition of tying rakhi to trees has also started for nature conservation. [2] In India, male members of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh tie saffron-colored rakhi to each other for mutual brotherhood. [3] All religious of Hindu religion The Karmakandi Pandit or Acharya chants a verse in Sanskrit while tying Rakshasutra in rituals, in which the relation of Rakshabandhan is associated with King Bali Area is clearly visible. According to the prophecy, Devguru Jupiter tied the Rakshasutra created by Indrani in the hands of Indra and made the following Swastika (This verse is the intended mantra of Rakshabandhan) -
